Meet Nick Holt

Nick is our candidate for Enderby & Lubbesthorpe at the County Council Elections on May 1st 2025.

Nick moved to Enderby almost 10 years ago and soon got involved with the community. He lives with his wife Julianna, and together co-founded mission:foodbank which provides emergency food support to residents across Blaby District.

Nick understands the frustrations and concerns that residents have with the current representation and wants to be a real advocate for the community, focussing on the concerns of local people.

As Chairman of South Leicestershire Liberal Democrats, Nick works alongside existing councillors with integrity and dedication, and has a proven track record of always making residents’ concerns the top priority.

He has also served on Enderby Parish Council, holding various positions such as vice-chairman of council and chairman of planning.

This experience has given Nick a strong understanding of how local government operates so will be able to get straight to work.

“Residents should be represented by councillors they trust, to ensure adequate questions are being asked so local communities are heard” says Nick. “By having the same Tory councillors representing us at different councils, complacency has set in.

We made a start with District Elections in 2023, and I want to continue that change, and make a stand for our local community in these County Council Elections, and do everything I can to improve the things that matter most to local people.”
