Thank you Geoff Welsh
Tributes have poured in to Geoff Welsh, District and County Councillor, who has recently announced his retirement from both the District and County Councils.
“Geoff is a legendary figure” says Glen Parva resident Andrew Savage “he has served the local community for over 30 years as a councillor. When the local Focus leaflets started 40 years ago Geoff was one of the first people to get involved. As a councillor he has helped so many people.”
Blaby resident Sue Jordan said, “Geoff is known for his kindness to people but he is also a tough and determined campaigner who has worked tirelessly on behalf of local residents.”
The Liberal Democrats would like to express their deepest gratitude to Geoff Welsh, who announced his retirement this week due to ill health. Geoff has been a councillor for 30 years, and during that time, his commitment to the community has made a significant impact. Geoff is a legendary figure.
Geoff’s legacy of selfless service and unwavering dedication will always be remembered.
We wish you a well-deserved and happy retirement.
Bev Welsh, Geoff’s wife will carry on as District councillor in Glen Parva.
Thank you for all that you have done for our community and for all the help you have given the Liberal Democrats over the years.
